Joint Response to the Government’s Freedom from Violence and Abuse Strategy

Safety4Sisters, in collaboration with Hibiscus, Latin American Women’s Aid (LAWA) and Rights of Women, has published a response to the government’s Freedom from Violence and Abuse Strategy. Drawing on our collective frontline expertise, we highlight the gaps in the strategy, which leaves migrant women with insecure immigration status and no recourse to public funds (NRPF) without access to safety. Following from our response to the strategy, we have continued to call for safety and protections for migrant survivors of violence and abuse through our collective No Borders to Safety, No Barriers to Rights campaign.
